LIKE A CHILD is a collection born from the way we used to turn the house upside down, as little girls, hunting for evening gowns. Curtains, tablecloths, towels, macramés, headscarves — tied around our bodies, they became, in an instant, the clothes we dreamed of. The clothes we twirled in, for hours, in front of the mirror. A leaf, a flower, a bead pinned to our chest; three strings knotted somewhere; and off we went down the runway, in high heels far too big. As big as they were coveted.

What a world full of magic. So much play, so much joy. So much freedom. And we huddled close to one another. We borrowed ideas, we envied what we didn't have but saw on another — and yet, God, the joy of it all.

Sometimes we built tents from every rag in the house. So we could secretly do our faces up like mother. Pink cheeks, glitter on the eyes, a bit of gloss on the lips. Pure luxury :))

The beautiful thing is — we rediscovered that freedom, that play, and, as much as we could, we wanted to pass it on. A game of tag, with everything thrown in. And above all, freedom. Like in childhood.

On natural fabrics, signed Deflorian, made in Romania, hand-embroidered, with long-hunted macramés, with laces almost all one-of-a-kind, years old, worked on with no small amount of love and labor.

Clothes that might, perhaps, make us feel LIKE A CHILD again.
